February 24th

Thursday I went in for my 28 week appointment.  Along with the Glucose Test and normal appointment they wanted to take another look at the position of my placenta.  Everything looks fine, and they were nice enough to take another picture of the baby for me.

But later that day they called and said that my Glucose Test came back high, and that I need to come in to do the 3 hour test! :(  So, we'll see how that goes this week.  I'll know more after Wednesday.

FREE ZOO DAY

Each year Hogel Zoo does FREE ZOO DAY the last Wednesday of the month from November-February.  Since Christian had off this week of school he was able to come with us this year as well.  The boys loved seeing it all.  And the weather wasn't half bad either.

I hadn't ever seen an elephant get a drink before so that was really cool I thought.

Christian hadn't ever been that close to a Rhinoserous, and thought that was neat.

The tail on this Red Kangaroo was so big!  No wonder it can balance them so well.

It was so humid in here it felt so good!  Pretty birds and huge turtles!

I've been to this Zoo many times and haven't really been able to see the Wolves very active before.  It was neat to see them walking around a bunch.

The boys loved the snakes, turtles and spiders!  YES, they are such boys! (Don't know how much they would still like them if they weren't in the glass tanks though. :) )

The Tiger was probably the highlight of the trip.  What a pretty animal.

I love this picture!  He looks so vicious, but I caught a picture right before he yawned!

Yeah, that's a yawn, not a roar.

Glad one of them was active for us!

Best buddies...most of the time!

I couldn't believe how long the giraffe's tongue was!  Fascinating to watch him eat.

Pretty Bald Eagle.

The Gorillas were indoors, so pics of them behind the glass wasn't really working.  But Jaden really liked all the different kinds we saw.  Here is our monkey family!

What a fun family field trip to the zoo!

Monday February 21st

What would visiting Grandma and Grandpa's be without playing the Wii?  Dalin had to "help" Kyler a couple of time!

Then it was off to POJO's.  The whole place was AWESOME!  Thanks Grandma!

Jaden got the 100 and the 50 in one game!  He beat Christian twice!  Way to go Jade!

Kyler was JUST tall enough to do the bumper cars!  Good job growing Kyler. (Side note: he has grown 1 1/2 inches and gained 4 lbs in just 6 months!)

Kyler thought it was fun to spin in a circle too!  It was fun to see him figure it all out.

After POJOS's and lunch at Grandma's it was time to head back home!  What a fun weekend with Jennie, Dalin and Taelin one last time.  We are sure going to miss you guys!  We always love visiting Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Glad Annette was there too!  Mindy we sure missed you!

It didn't take long for the boys to zonk out.  Guess they had an exhausting weekend too!  Only wish we lived closer to do it more often!

Sunday February 20th

Jaden was excited to read a book to Grandma!

It was so fun to see Jaden, Kyler and Taelin hanging out.

It looks like Taelin LOVES Veggie Tales.  My boys look so tired! :)

The weather was nice enough to play on the swingset a bit too!

Kyler didn't want to take his hands out of his pockets.  So even though his tummy is on the frozen slide, at least his hands are staying warm. :)

Glad he will pose for the camera once in a while.

Gotta try the baby slide too!

And if we are outside, you better bet there will be some basketball being played.  Taelin was wondering how he could ever get the ball up that high.

Jaden decided he wanted it even higher!  So he shot some on the 10 foot height.  And made some too!

I really couldn't believe that he could get it up that high, let alone make it in a couple of times.  I think it's hilarious at the end how frustrated he gets.  He is so hard on himself in sports.

Kyler even swung and hit a couple of pitches from Grandma.

The end of this video makes me laugh because you can see Grandpa and Jaden walking back towards the house.  Just before this video of Kyler, Grandpa wanted to see Jaden hit the ball.  He told Jaden to hit it over to the trees.  I don't think he realized at all how hard Jaden could really hit the ball.  The backyard is just not big enough.  Jaden hit it right where Grandpa told him to.  It sailed over the fence into the neighbors yard.  Grandpa was dumb-founded for about 10 minutes wondering how he could have really just hit it that far.  We were all laughing so hard.  I was so excited for Kyler. He hasn't ever hit it before today.  He was pretty excited too.

Taelin loved riding this bike with Aunt Annette.

Gotta love the outdoors.  Maybe someday we will live somewhere we can play outside year round!
