The Bird Show

Saturday there was a wild bird show at the park in our neighborhood! If it hadn't have been so cold I think that the kids, as well as the birds, would have liked it better. But I thought it was pretty cool and ended up even learning a couple of interesting things about these birds.

Pretty cool to see an eagle, hawk, falcon, cockatoo, screech owl and great horned owl. I think Jaden thought they were pretty neat. I'm pretty sure Kyler hated being there in the cold. Oh well. The things we do, and make our kids do!

Trip to Boise!

Kyler, Jaden and I went to Boise a couple weeks ago. Here are some of the highlights! The weather was incrible while we were there! Jaden loved playing at the park!

I was surprised at how well Jaden slept in a different bed! So cute!

Both boys seemed to enjoy the trampoline! Can't wait to get one of those someday!

6 months old!

Kyler still isn't quite sitting on his own...at least not long enough to get a picture taken. I guess he's a bit behind on that milestone. Oh well. He had his 6 month appointment today (MORE SHOTS! :( but wasn't quite as big as I had thought he would be. He weighs 18 lbs 10 oz (I thought he would be 20!) So he's only in the 80% now for weight. He's 28 inches, still 90% for that one and his head is 46 1/2 cm...not quite off the chart. Only in the 97 %! He has started taking a bottle again...HORRAY!!!! We're still trying new foods all the time. In case you can't tell from the picture he's generally a happy guy. We hope the next 6 months bring tonz of joy too!

My boys make me laugh!

I try to take pictures of the boys together once in a while since I seem to take so many of each of them separately. The most recent series was hilarious. Kyler looks like such a jokester in this one.SAFE!










When do I get some?...








Rarely do I ever get a great picture with both boys actually looking forward, but I still think it's fun to try!

a witch cake?

Since Jaden's birthday is coming up I thought it would be fun to got through this cake cut out book and let him choose what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday. After hearing him say no with each page I was sure I would have to come up with my own idea for his cake. He said no to rockets, cars, boats, trains, and even puppies! (Maybe if it would have had a dinosaur we would have been in luck) Then we got to this witch cake. And with out hesitation he said "Oh yes, that's good! I like a witch cake!" So I guess this is what he'll be having for his 3rd birthday cake! At first he said it should be pink and green, but now he says black and white! What a goofy kid!

So close...yet so far!

Well, it's only taken me 2 1/2 YEARS so far...but all I have left now is the back stitching to do! I'll post it again I'm sure when it's really complete! (Don't plan on that one anytime soon! :) )

Kyler is CRAWLING!

Wow, when they tell you that it happens over night,...it really does! Kyler totally started crawling today! He can now get everywhere he wants to go. (Maybe that's not exciting to some moms) He's even getting faster already. I think we are going to have to figure out something for the stairs sooner than later. I swear he's going to start following me up them too. Boy is he growing up fast. April Fools! Sure hope you are laughing! :)
