Jaden's Photography

Something about Jaden that you may not know... he loves to take pictures! I think he's getting quite good too! Over Thanksgiving we went up to Sundance to take some new family pics and Jaden snapped some random shots as well while we were there.

He had to get a picture of his brother right out of the car!

Oh yeah, and mom and dad! I feel like we look pretty tall with the angle the picture is taken from. Guess we're a lot taller than Jaden.

Don't forget to get a picture of your own shadow! Super cool!

This bridge sure was pretty.

And who could forget about that rock! "That's a nice boulder." (Name that movie.)

He even got pictures of the fam all setting up there.

Thought this one was gorgeous! Way to go Jaden!

Random person playing in the snow! Can you tell from the pictures that it was FREEZING up there?

More scenery. There's that bridge from another view.

Here he was standing at the bridge facing upstream to get a picture of the Phillips family.

Another picture of Daddy!

And some close-ups of the snow and some branches of a tree. He's really figured out that ZOOM!

He took SO many more, but this is all I posted. I love it. Here's little apprentice Jaden wanting to be like his Grampa Mealey! Any favorites?

Rock Climbing

Our family went Rock Climbing at the Quarry over Thanksgiving. This should be a new family tradition! Everyone loved it! Opa Ted, who is Dutch, even loved watching it all and was so amazed! Probably didn't see much rock climbing where he grew up! :)

Jaden amazed me! He really liked climbing by his Daddy!

Kyler wanted to be a part of it all so bad! I just made sure to have a tight grip on his thighs.

He'd get up way above my head, and wanted to go higher!

So we got him a harness too!
I think he did pretty good, but liked me holding his legs better. Still, very impressed!

Jaden loved this kids wall, and was excellent at it!

For being so young, he sure is strong!

It was so fun to see Christian able to do all of this with the family as well!

By the end Jaden was even pretty good about holding the rope with both hands and jumping with his feet to repel. He really is so smart!

Check out those muscles! Daddy bouldering!

Mommy even got a turn in! So fun!

December What?

I can't believe it's already been a month since I posted last. Where has the time gone. Well, guess I better stop yapping and add some photos!
One night the boys were playing so nice together. We heard them running up and down the stairs again and again. After cleaning up the dishes I decided it was time to "check on them." To our surprise they had gathered ALL the pillows in the house and piled them by the front door.

Kyler loves to find/ make "tables" to play on. After bringing in and unloading the groceries this is there I found him! Toys, check! Upside down glasses, check! Sippy with water, check! Safety hat, check! Were good!

My parents get us the new Pixar movie each year for Christmas. Well, Grandma said they could open it early, so that they did! And they love it! We've watched it several times already! For sure a new favorite in this house! Thanks mom and dad!

Kyler had his first doughnut. Call me a bad mommy, but I really don't think I have ever given that kid a doughnut!

I think he liked it!

Jaden, Kyler, Oma, Grampa, and I even made it down to the BYU to see a History of Film & Developing Exhibit.

We sure love any chance we have to spend with you guys! There's more. But it's going to have to wait for another post.
