First week of March

Only in Utah...one day it's mini golf and the next we are hanging out in the snow!  I don't think I have any pictures from mini golf or playing the games at Trafalga, but that sure was fun!  Grandparents must be in town! :)
Eric bought a RZR and we took it out for a spin.  The boys enjoyed playing on the rocks and eating snow while waiting for our turn.

Apparently Beckam is tall.  His legs were pretty squished in there, but at least he was warm!
Kyler LOVED it!  He kept telling uncle Eric to go in the water and on the bumpy part and up the steep hill.  Jaden was a bit more hesitant.  But I still think he had a good time.
Beckam got lots of Oma time!

Everyone was exhausted after playing so much and a great dinner!

But of course Kyler was ready to go the next day at Kangaroo Zoo with his cousin Maddix.
We love it when family comes into town!

Cooking Club #7

Ingredients:
1 C whole wheat flour
1/2 C oat flour
2 TBLS wheat bran
1 TBLS flax seed meal
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 C water
1/4 C olive oil
1 C shredded cheddar cheese
Place dry ingredients in a blender or food processor.  Then drizzle in the water and oil.  A dough will form.  Add the cheese.
Roll the dough out as thin as possible.

You can use cute cookie cutters, but I just cut them quickly into squares this time.  Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for 15-20 min.

We had these crackers with grapes and apple slices.  Great after-school snack!  It'll be fun to play around with adding more cheese, different kinds of cheese, and even maybe some fresh herbs.

Cooking Club week #6

My friend sent me this recipe and I thought it would be perfect to do for cooking club!  No flour, No sugar, No dairy!  She calls them Banana Breakfast cookies!
(All the pics from today seemed to turn out a bit blurry, oops!)  Still a great memory.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 C Oats
2-3 ripened bananas
1 C unsweetened applesauce
Handful of craisins
Cinnamon to taste (optional)

 They loved smashing the bananas.
Then Jaden held the bowl while Kyler mixed...
I guess Kyler let go for the picture because he was was holding the bowl while Jaden mixed! :)  Great helping brothers!
Plop it onto a cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 20-35 min depending on how soft or crunchy you want them.  We decided we wanted them soft like banana bread, so we only did 20 minutes.  They turned out great!  Thanks JanaRae for a great healthy snack!
