Jump On It

The boys have been LOVING the warmer weather this Winter, but really missing our trampoline.  Jaden told me he needed to practice his back flip! :)  So when I picked him up after school last Tuesday I surprised him and told him after we picked up Kyler from art school we were going to go get some exercise at JUMP ON IT!  He just kept saying I was the best mom!
I loved how uncrowded(is that a word?) it was there!  The boys were immediately loving all their space! (If you turn down your volume than you don't have to hear me and you can just enjoy the boys jumping!:) )
All 3 boys seemed to have a great time.
Jaden got to practice his back flip.

Sometimes I forget how much younger Kyler is than Jaden.  He sure keeps up pretty well.
This video of Kyler is harder to see with all the people around now, but he's WAY in the back jumping up onto the block!  It took him a while to get up there.  But he never gave up and finally figured it out.  He loved being able to get up on something so high! :)
This cough/ fake laugh is something new Beckam was doing.
I love how easily distracted babies get.  I want the ball, no I want to follow my brothers.  Where am I?  Oh ya, go get that ball!
Sometimes, Kyler really is Jaden's little shadow.
The boys started throwing balls at these girls and a new game began!

Pretty much, Jump On It rocks!  This little excursion should hold us over...until next time! :)

Kyler can Whistle

The other day while running errands Kyler learned a new trick!
He was so proud of himself and kept doing it and talking about it all day long!  He just kept saying "Jaden teached me it."
(Don't worry, I was just holding the camera up facing Kyler.  I was looking forward when the light was no longer red! :))

Beckam is Teething

Beckam seems to be teething!  You can't totally tell from his attitude, but he chews on everything!  His drool and slobber get on everything.  If he doesn't have a toy or finger in his mouth, he must be sleeping! :)You can see his 2 bottom teeth in this picture. (Taken while playing at my friend Tressa's house where Kyler has art class once a week.)
Another picture where you can see his 2 bottom teeth.  Wondering when more will come through.

So I decided to make him his very own teething biscuits!  They are awesome!  I dried out a couple for Beckam and the boys and I ate the other loaf! :)(We doubled it.) I even halved the honey in them.  Not very sweet bread, but hey if they boys will eat it for a snack and it's not packed with sugar...even better!

Cooking Club

My sons school has some great after-school programs offered.  When they sent home the list of Winter activities available he said he wanted to sign up for cooking club and basketball club.  Sadly when I went to register on the morning you could, cooking club was already full.  But I decided to take advantage of this.  So we started our own cooking club after school on Thursdays!  Last week we made sunflower cookies and dipped them in yogurt!  I think it was a hit! You can find the recipe on my food blog!
They enjoyed mixing, rolling and making shapes with their "dough."

I told them that part of cooking was cleaning up after themselves.  So they even washed the dishes they used! :)
 Beckam wanted to help too!
They turned out pretty good and are especially yummy dipped in yogurt!
I told Jaden to smile really big if he really liked them!  Is that a smile?...
I think we will be making these again in the future!  I love finding new healthy snacks!  Hooray for cooking club at the Mealey's!

Summerhays Music

It's nice living here in Provo and being able to go to a lot more MBASA activities.  Friday we got to go to Summerhays Music.  They showed us different instruments that they sell.

She showed us the difference between a normal string piano and an electric piano.
The boys of course LOVED the drums!
I can not believe how small you can get a violin! (And how much they cost! :))

After we toured the store she played so many different instruments so that the kids could hear the different sounds.  Don't they look excited to be there? :)

After hearing her play a flute, clarinet, piccallo, trumpet, trombone, tuba, french horn, violin, violla, cello, and bass Jaden said he wants to learn to play the piano, and Kyler wants to play the one you can slide back and forth! :)  I'm glad they had fun being exposed to music and instruments!

Beckam-8 months old

I honestly can't believe that my little Beckam is already 8 months old!  He is still so content and a joy to have around!  He makes us all laugh! He's 27 1/4 inches long and weighs 16 lbs 10 oz.  As you can see he's in the phase of "everything gets a taste test."
He can get most places pretty well, pulling himself around on his tummy (he still doesn't choose to stay up on all fours) and then going back to sitting and playing.  He's getting so strong.
And he's getting VERY quick at grabbing and eating, even if it's not something he's supposed to.  He sure knows how to show me where I missed sweeping!:)
How could that smile not make you happy!  He's still not consistently sleeping all night long, but hopefully now that the move and holidays are over, we can settle more into a routine.  We can't imagine life without you Beckam.  We sure love you!

Kyler

For Christmas, both grandparents got Kyler signed up for "art school."  Once a week he gets to go paint and draw and learn about art for a whole hour!  This is him at home using some water colors.  This kid LOVES to paint!

This is the folder he got to decorate last week at art class.  I can see a guy on a bike, can you?  This is where they will be keeping some of his projects to have an art exhibit at the end the semester for us to see his work. I'm excited to see how he enjoys different mediums each week.
He told me, this is a trampoline, and then a trampoline on top of a tree and then a really tall tree.  So you can jump jump jump to the top!  Great imagination Kyler!
Kyler's preschool had a Family Field Trip this week at the Bean Museum.  He got to pet a snake and was so scared to, until I told him that Beckam was going to, and that the snake wanted to be his friend.  It's amazing how quickly he changed his mind when he found out his younger brother wasn't scared! :)
Kyler is such a joker!
He liked the smaller animals.  He kept saying that they were cute!
He LOVED the hammerhead shark, and wanted a picture to be able to show Jaden he saw a shark!
He loved the 4 small ducks here.  I can't believe how many different facial expressions this kid has!  He looks like a different kid in each photo.  I'm so interested to see him grow up and mature.  I really wonder what he'll do...
Kyler sees that Jaden has homework each day and asked to do homework too!  His teacher at preschool thinks he is so bright and can't BELIEVE that he won't even be going to Kindergarten next year (since the cut-off is September 1st and his birthday isn't until the middle of October) So this last week I did lessons in "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons" book that I used with Jaden, that my mom used with me!  He did so good and loved having "homework."
He's growing up so much lately!  We sure love you Kyler!

Jaden

Jaden started at his new school after the holiday break.  You can see how excited he is to go in to his new school!
He seems to be warming up to the change.  He's now mentioning friends names, and was excited to go to the Family Fitness Fun night earlier this week for us to see his school!

His teacher Mrs. Cannon seems nice, and I LOVE their homework.  She sure keeps them busy!  He's really excelling with reading and 15 spelling words each week doesn't seem to bother him.
Sports always make Jaden happy.  For Christmas, Oma and Grandpa got Jaden some indoor soccer shoes and signed him up for Futsol (indoor soccer)  Jaden is so glad that soccer is two times a week!
I'm so glad he has bright red socks so we can pick him out quickly when he's running around with all the other players! :)  He was worried he'd be made fun of since the H on the socks was pink, and "boys don't wear pink!"  I assured him that no one would be making fun of his pink! (And so far, no one has)

He's been a little hesitant and more nervous this year, especially when it's his turn to play goalie.  But like most things, he's getting better and better each time.  He even ASKED to play goalie at the last game Saturday.  Christian continues to say that Jaden remind him of himself playing soccer when he was younger.  I guess they have more similarities than just their looks! :)
He also got to start Jr. Jazz (Christmas gift from Grandma and Grandpa)  He's gotten a lot better at dribbling this year and was even just dribbling while watching his team from the sidelines.
This kid sure seems to love sports.  And we sure love him!

Too much fun

We have been having so much fun in our new place.  We hung up the swing on the porch and Beckam seems to enjoy it!  Who would have guessed we would have nice enough weather to enjoy this in January!?
Kyler and I have been learning how to use the K'NEX. (Thanks mom for the scanned pics for ideas)

Apparently we have had a couple of cell phones.  The kids love these as toys!

LOVING this weather!

Kyler won a contest at Preschool and got a gift card to Red Robin.  We went on a date.  This was his first time having fried mozzarella sticks!
He had just fallen over backwards in his chair, so that's what those sad eyes are. (Maybe someday he will learn to hold still on his chair)
It was really nice to have some time with just Kyler!  He was so funny about he cheese sticks.  After dipping them once in the marinara he stole the ranch and pushed the marinara to me and said "that could be your dip!"  We just shared the ranch!
Our new ward has church from 1-4pm.  It's a bit late in the afternoon, but we all seem to be adjusting to it.  Only wish I could take a nap on the bench too :)

Beckam is seriously the happiest kid ever!

Ok, maybe his buddy Leon wins.  He's a happy kid too!  Glad they came over to play.  My boys have such a good time with Brit's son Desmond, and it's great that the weather was nice to play outside for a bit.
His different faces are so much fun.  What is he thinking?  I was getting so nervous that he was going to hit himself right in the face!

The boys continue to LOVE playing foosball.

Jaden pulled out his 3rd tooth this weekend as well!  Jules said that she would give Jaden $1 to let Cohen pull it out.  I love that Cohen was the one saying it hurt so bad! :)
Jaden spent a couple more minutes wiggling it and pulled it out on his own.

Wow, we sure keep busy!
