Rock Band!

When Christian's boss found out he was having knee surgery he thought it would be fun for Christian to have something to do while he was home with his leg up. So he let us borrow ROCK BAND! It has been such a blast, I hope Jake never wants it back! :) As you can see in the video, Jaden likes playing it as well. Maybe it's something we can get for Christmas. It seems to be a game that everyone loves and wants to try. And I thought it was so much fun watching Jaden get into it. He's actually figuring it out....take a look.

Life is....busy!

Wow! There is a lot going on in life right now. So, in a nutshell...Kyler turned 5 months old yesterday! Hooray for growing up! Christian had knee surgery as well yesterday. They scoped it and ended up not being able to repair his torn meniscus. (They just cut it out.) Recovery is going great! He's even already walked a bit on it. Mostly, he just sits on the couch with lots of pillows under his wrapped up leg though. We all can't wait until he can shower! :)
We are enjoying having Christian's parents in town helping out, and especially enjoying Oma's cooking! :) Jaden LOVES waking his grandpa up each morning and can't wait to start playing!
AND ANOTHER THING that happened today was Kyler rolling over from his back to his tummy! We'll post that video later. But he seems very proud of himself now that he can roll all across the room.
AND we found out today that my brother will be doing his 1st year residency program here in SLC for his 1st year and then out to Rochester, NY for the next 3 years! Way to work hard Michael! Looks like all that medical schooling will be paying off soon!
Anything else? Oh yeah, and my car is fixed and working again! SOOOOOOOOO glad about that one.
Now, just looking forward to the Easter weekend and spending more time with family.

Random!

Yesterday Jaden came to me in the kitchen while I was feeding Kyler some oatmeal and said, "um...mom...?" Now usually when he says that it means that he is coming to tell me about a mess that just happened, or another toy that just broke or something like that. So I kind of sighed and said "Yes, Jaden?" He replied with, "You're the best mom!" I didn't know what else to say except for "Jaden, you're the best!" It's times like that that seem to make all the trials in life disappear for just a second and make me realize how much I do enjoy being a mom!

Kyler continues to be happier all the time. His newest thing is "singing"as we call it! Let me know what you think it sounds like.

Some things that the boys LOVE! Kyler is enjoying trying new food. Here he is sucking on an apple! Jaden, as always, loves reading books, and his BLANKIE!

The Big Hungry Bear

Jaden loves to read. One of his favorite books continues to be "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and THE BIG HUNGRY BEAR." After reading it to him over the last couple years (probably several hundred times) he likes to read it to ME now! I think he does a pretty good job with it. If you haven't read the book here is what each page says...just in case you can't tell from what Jaden is reading! I love this book!
