Enjoying the summer sun!

What a gorgeous day! The kids decided it would be fun to throw some rocks off the bridge into the creek by our house.

It was fun to see Kyler's reaction to dropping something and seeing a splash and hearing a funny sound.

We even enjoyed throwing over some dried up weeds to "race" them under the bridge!

Can you see the 2 dried up weeds?

Jaden really enjoyed throwing so many rocks, and watching the SPLASH as well.

Kyler would bring back several rocks, so that he didn't have to go back and forth so many times. Don't know if that qualifies him as a thinker, or as being lazy. :)

I'm so glad the rock Kyler throws at the end of this video didn't hit him. That kid...

Happy Father's Day

In class today Jaden drew a picture for DADDY. He said he was imagining dad having a spider costume when he was 3 years old. So, there you go. He even got some M&M's to give to him but quickly told me "Since dad doesn't like these, I can eat them!" Guess Christian has made an impression on the kids about not eating sugar.

This year I decided to take on a project that I've never done before. I made all the boys ties. Now they can match DADDY! I thought they turned out cute! They are no where near professional, but it was fun to learn how to do something new. (Thanks JanaRae)

Happy Father's Day! My boys are lucky to have such a great dad! Can't wait to get a picture of all 3 of them together in their matching ties!

Waterpark

We had quite the turn out this week at the American Fork Rec Center Outdoor pool. (Glad I posted it on Facebook) I'm so glad my boys have some great friends to play with, even at the pool. And even more glad all those cute kids have great moomies to be my friends! Love you all ladies! New Tuesday tradition? Anyone else coming?...

What a week!

We started the week with great weather! Jaden even caught his first Grasshopper! I was surprised that it didn't just hop off his hand. He loved flipping his hand over and having the grasshopper hang up-side-down! He even shared it with his friend Misha.

At the park this week for playgroup Kyler walked around holding Megan's hand. I think it's cute!

And since I had my camera there, I was finally able to get Jaden crossing the monkey bars!

Here are some plays from Jaden at TBall this week. Check out those puffy cheeks! Guess that's what he does when he's concentrating!?... I love it!
Oh yeah, and here's his team!

Here's what a lot of the plays look like. Even if the pitcher gets the ball it's still a race to see who REALLY gets it. Jaden was playing first base, so the ball was thrown to him each time. Then he's supposed to throw it home.

Here Jaden is up to bat. They are learning at practice to take a "practice swing" and then hit it. It's fun to see him apply it at the games.

Here is a GREAT hit!

In this one, Jaden got to hit last, which means he also got to run a Home Run! Still figuring out the concept of it all a bit, but enjoying it all! I think he was getting a little ahead of himself on the way to first, tripping up over his feet. And I love his finish into Home! 3 innings can really wear you out!

This picture is actually from last weeks game. Guess I forgot to give Kyler some blog time. :)

Here he is charming another little lady. He was so sweet to take Ali up the hill with him and then run down together, of course holding hands!

This morning Kyler totally ran into the stair rail corner. I am so glad he let me put ice on this! It was seriously sticking out so far and right away! But I'm glad I grabbed the ice first and not the camera, even though a picture of it right after would have been great to have. I'm also glad it didn't split open. Don't know if I could have handled stitches in the forehead again. Hopefully someday this little guy will learn that he's not indestructible!

You can tell that Jaden is paying attention when he comes to scouts with me. We recite the Pledge of Allegiance every week at Den Meetings. His version isn't quite perfect, but pretty darn close I thought! And this was just totally out of the blue today. Don't know what made him think if it, but I asked him if he'd do it again if I ran and got the camera. I think he's a smarty pants!

Here's a sneak peak to my project this summer. The boys kept saying "Daddy is going to be so mad." Well I hope he really isn't. The whole cement pad is actually now gone. I'll have to get an updated picture. Can't wait for it to all be done! It's going to look fantastic! Boy am I sore!

I'm exhausted! What a week!

Swimming

We spent Saturday with my sister, Annette, down in Provo. Although I didn't take any pictures of us swimming, we sure had a great time. The boys LOVE their squirters and watching Aunt Annette "swim like a fish!" After swimming for a little over an hour we went up to Annette's apartment for lunch, and cartoon watching.

Then it was back out to the pool. We stayed out for another hour or two and then we were pooped. We headed back upstairs and while Annette packed, we watched Enchanted...well, Kyler saw part of it! :) He's so adorable when he's sleeping.

Annette came back to Lehi with us and stayed the weekend! It was so much fun having her here. It was seriously a gorgeous day on Saturday! The clouds looked fake, we thought!

Sunday night we even saw some beautiful night sky as a crazy windy lightning storm rolled in for a bit.

And today I drove Annette to the airport to meet my parents. They were headed to Florida for the week for a family vacation. I got this adorable picture of the boys with Grandma and Grandpa!

How could we spend the whole weekend with Annette and not have any pics of her with the boys!? Guess we were just having too much fun! Thanks Annette for all your help with the boys this weekend! It really was great having you with us!

Joy School Graduation

Last week, on June 1st, we had our Joy School Graduation party! We decided it would be fun to have dinner all together before the "graduation ceremony." We had homemade pizza, an amazing spinach salad, and lemonade. It was a hit for everyone!
Here are the graduates! Christian Butler, Cohen Pexton, Jason McClellan, and Jaden Mealey. I can't believe we are really done with Joy School.

We had each of them "read" a book to us all. Christian read a book about a very hungry caterpillar.

Cohen read one about things that are Yummy and things that are Yucky!

Jason read Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?

And Jaden got shy and decided he didn't want to tell us about his new Batman book.

They all got report cards, their diplomas, and their Unique books! Then we talked to them about traditions and told them to throw their graduation hats in the air! I think they liked this part a lot!

Jenny even made the boys some fun "graduation hats suckers." Jaden gobbled his down! And then we had some yummy mint brownies! What a fun group of boys and 4 great families willing to take the time to make Joy School work. Thank you all! Congrats Jaden, you'll do great in Kindergarten!
