HAPPY NEW YEAR! Glad to say hello to 2010. Here are some final happenings of 2009 that I never got around to posting. As well as our email Christmas letter.
Christian: Turned the big 30 this year! He is still working as a Loan Officer doing mortgages up in Salt Lake. He's the Cub Scout Advancement Coordinator (in charge of getting the boys their awards for Pack Meeting) as well as a counselor in ONE of the elders quorums. (yes, we have 2...big, young ward) Christian still doesn't eat ANY refined sugars,(only molasses and honey as sweeteners in things) and hasn't since September 2008. Pretty amazing determination! Also, he's recently decided to head back to school next Fall to get his MBA, possibly pursuing something in Venture Capital. Needless to say, he's a studying machine. He takes the GMAT next month! Cross your fingers!
Mel: Has now been working at the Lehi Legacy Center as a gymnastics coach for over a year! She LOVES it and has expecially loved working more with the competitive team girls. She is still over the Wolfs and Bear Cub Scouts in the ward, as well as being in charge of the children's playgroup which meets once a week. She continues to enjoy being a mommy and everything that comes with it. (stitches and all) Even with Christian's new eating habits she also continues to be an excellent cook and loves to spend time in the kitchen...as long as it is not doing dishes! :)
Jaden: Turned 4 in May. Yes, he will be heading to Kindergarten next Fall. He is obsessed with numbers and can count to 100! He's even figuring out a little bit of addition and subtraction! He's still our superstar athlete, and can't wait for the next "Itty Bitty Ball" that always seems to be just around the corner. Next is Basketball in January. When he wants to be, he's such a great big brother, a wonderful helper, and just plain fun to be around. He's getting too good at some of the games on the Wii, and it really is hard to beat him. He's definitely got a competitive side to him, and we love it!
Kyler: Just turned 2 in October, but we have trouble convincing people of that. He's going to be the "big little brother." He LOVES to be with people, especially his brother. He does everything like Jaden, and has even begun copying things he says. He sure knows how to make you laugh, and you know you can always get a hug from him. Kyler loves to be involved and is very willing to help with stirring/ cooking. I think he knows he'll get to sample the goods! :) He is in 1 of 5 nursery classes! Yes, we have a very young ward!
Well, there's a quick update on the Mealey Family. The years seriously go by so quickly. We Love all of you and hope you are able to enjoy a great Christmas Season.
Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
And now for catching up...is there a Guiness Record for the longest post ever?... Good luck getting through this one.
At a friends house we made marshmallow snowmen. Jaden decided his needed a LONG nose.

Then on December 13th it FINALLY snowed! And Jaden and I got to make a real snowman outside!

Jaden wanted to show me the snow in his hand for the picture!
Don't forget those cheeks.

Looks fantastic!

Eric and Natalie were in Hawaii for a week, and Oma came out to watch Maddix. So we played a couple times. My boys sure loved his toys! Maddix was so nice to share!

Eric and Nat wanted Jaden and Kyler to open their Christmas gift a little early. I think Jaden was excited! :)
Way cool boots! GI Joe rocks!
For playgroup on December 16th those new boots sure came in handy. We played in the snow at the church and had hot chocolate.
Both boys seem to enjoy the snow even more this year.

At a Christmas party Jaden got silly string and decided it would be most fun to use on the snowman. I thought this was hilarious. Kyler was just in the wrong spot! Couldn't have planned that more perfectly! Too funny!

Sunday morning before Christmas, we decided to open our Christmas gift from my parents since we wouldn't be able to take it to Boise with us. Grandma and Grandpa Bradshaw got us a keyboard piano! Here is Jaden 4 years ago and this year. Guess he's always had it in him! :)

Both boys are LOVING it! Jaden likes to set it to #072- Trumpet, and play the bottom note. He says "the piano is farting." Yup, he's our boy!

The night before Christmas Eve we got all packed up and ready to head to Boise. Some gifts just weren't going to fit. So we let Jaden and Kyler open their gifts from Opa Ted. Kyler LOVES his bowling set and Jaden thinks the K'NEX are awesome.

Christmas Eve morning we headed up to Boise. The drive up was fantastic! Such great driving weather.

It never hurts when the kids take a nap at the same time as well. Nice weather, Hot guy driving, sleeping kids and a portable DVD player for when they are awake....couldn't be better!

Taelin sure has grown up since we saw him last. Love the Spidy hat!

Me with my sisters. Me, Jennie, Annette, and Mindy.

Cute cousins: Jaden, Taelin & Kyler. One of my families traditions is to dress up and act out the Nativity each year on Christmas Eve. Our family played the wisemen this year.

Another tradition is to drive around and look at Christmas lights. This was a favorite house.

When we get back we play games and eat traditional Christmas treats. The boys got
Trouble, and
Perfection this year.
Christmas morning! Waiting at the bottom of the stairs to go see what Santa brought!

SCORE!!! I think the boys were both thrilled!

Jaden and Kyler loved opening gifts. Something about hearing all that paper tearing really is fun!

This nerf dart gun is AWESOME! Nice pick mom and dad Bradshaw.

Jaden even got a camera. Thanks mom and dad Mealey. He went right away taking pictures of EVERYTHING!

It was fun to see the boys both so excited about their new stuff.

We also played a lot of Wii while there. Jaden could do that all day long if we let him.

The day after Christmas we went up to Garden Valley and went Tubing.

It was so nice
not to have to walk up the hill again and again. Being towed up is the smartest thing ever! You can enjoy hours of fun, without wearing yourself out from climbing the hill. LOVED this!

Here's Minday catching some air!

And here is Mindy watching Dalin catch air. So fun!

Sunday morning I was caught reading some books to the boys. They love books!

Christmas in Boise was so much fun. However, the drive home wasn't! From about Tremonton to Bountiful was AWFUL! But I'm glad we came home when we did, because the next day would have been a lot worse. Glad our little Camry was able to make another long trip!
WOW! I think I'm all caught up! Closing out 2009! Welcoming in 2010!
