18 months old!

Kyler continues to eat and eat, so that he can grow and grow. (all right all you mommies out there...what is that from?... :) ) He had his 18 month appointment and is doing great. He is 33 1/4 inches tall (75%), he weighs 27.3 lbs (70%) and his head is still above the 97% at 50 1/2 cm!!! He still wants to do everything Jaden does....or at least tries to. He seems to love to see how things work. Turn a screw with a screwdriver, buckle a seat belt and take it apart, turn things on and off. (Over and over, again and again.) He LOVES our little peg puzzles as well. But mostly, I think he just loves following Jaden around like a shadow. When it isn't bugging Jaden, it is one of the cutest things to watch.

Where has the time gone? Some of us girlfriends from Elementary and Middle School, that still live "in the area," got together for lunch last week. I can't believe how long it has been since seeing some of them. It was great to catch up, and Jenni made the best beef burritos! (Recipe please... : ) ) Thanks for putting this together Jenni. Who's house is next?! :)

Happy Easter!

WOW! This is a long post! But I guess there was a lot going on for Easter. So, read on if you dare!.... To kick things off we went to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt a couple weekends ago.

Kyler seemed to know just what to do!

Jaden was pretty professional himself!

It would have been nice to have warmer weather, but at least it wasn't snowing like last year. Here are the boys showing off their loot!

Mom and Dad Mealey got us a really fun egg dying kit while they were here. It came with foam stickers to decorate the eggs to look like Easter animals. Jaden totally remembered doing this last year and got really excited about it.

He was very patient and so careful.

Kyler was not patient at all and barely let me show him how to do it the first time.(So independent! :) )

He REALLY wanted to do it all by himself.

He was so proud of himself...

As long as we weren't helping him, Kyler was really enjoying it.



Here's how they turned out!

I was really impressed with how good Jaden was at putting these "stickers" on all by himself.

Mine is the orange one....just some of the odds and ends pieces to make a....well....i don't really know. But it was fun!

Jaden got really excited near the end about EATING one. I wasn't about to turn that down. I don't know if he thought it would have candy in it like the plastic ones or what, but we thought we'd let him just find out! (NOTE: these are kind of long videos, but too hilarious to pass up. Hope you are rolling on the ground after watching both!)

It was taking a little longer than he wanted so I helped him peel it. His different mood swings were cracking me up. We sure love you Jaden.

Then yesterday we went to the American Fork Easter Egg Hunt.

Just in case you were wondering, Kyler will point out any bird you want! :)

Our garden!

WOW! Our garden is really growing....in our office! :) We haven't ever planted early indoors, and thought we would try it out this year. So, 2 weeks ago we planted all sorts of stuff, peppers, tomatoes, squash, and even a pumpkin. (Plus about 10 other things) After such a short time we already saw things growing! The first thing in that bottom corner is one of our squash plants!

Jaden has loved seeing it all start to happen!

And just 2 days later we have 2 coming up the squash one and one of our tomato plants beings to sprout!

Just a couple of days after that and we have new growth over night! This new squash one wasn't there last night, but this morning it is!

We now have 5 that have sprouted and look at that first squash! Maybe I'm a little too excited about this, but I had to share. Can't wait to take them outside in about a month! Bring on the warmer weather!

2 year ago today....

WOW! 2 years ago today we announced that we were pregnant with Baby #2! (We thought it would be fun to do on April Fool's Day.) But this was no fool! I can't believe Kyler's just about 1 1/2. Nursery here we come! (And I thought it never would!)

He sure loved having Oma and Grandpa in town, even if was just for the weekend!

Over the weekend we got to spend some time with Christian's brother Eric, and his wife Natalie. Jaden LOVED making Maddix laugh. So cute! I remember when Jaden would do this for Kyler just about 1 year ago when Kyler was the same age as Maddix. Jaden is such a great brother and cousin!
