August Rush!

So, I don't know how many people saw the movie August Rush, but we LOVE it! It's amazing the influence that music plays in our lives.(both good and bad) I thought this was so cute. Not that we have a child prodigy or anything, but to see how into the guitar Kyler was, was so much fun! He really does seem to love music, rhythm and beat. (check out previous posts on his singing and dancing abilities if you don't believe me :) ) I think it's fun to see how different he and Jaden seem to already be.

SICK!

It all started last week. Jaden seemed totally fine one day, and then decided it would be a great idea to throw up Friday as they were all heading out the door for me to go coach. Not being able to get a replacement that quickly we went to the gym, blankie and bowl in hand and just "made it work." Friday was rough, but we made it through the day and by Saturday it was as if nothing had been wrong. WEIRD! We made it through the weekend just fine, but then after naptime on Tuesday, Kyler decides it's his turn! In total, Kyler threw up 9 times all day long! It was a very rough night, but Wednesday he was feeling a lot better. Yesterday he had a temperature between 100 and 102 all day, but at least the throwing up had stopped! The picture is of him watching TV. He would put himself like that at the end of the couch with his feet up. But as soon as he saw I was taking a picture he decided he wanted to say "CHEESE."

What a goofey kid! I'm glad he seems to be more himself today!

I just got this picture from my father-in-law! He took it at Christmas! WOW! What cute cousins! Thanks for the hats mom. You are very talented as well. (That's right, my mother-in-law made the hats! ) LOVE IT!

This last week I opened up a new website at palmpreFIX.com! I'm very excited about it, and I'd love to hear what everybody thinks.

Kyler has begun clapping his hands when we start to sing "If you're happy and you know it."

And Putting his hands on his head as soon as we begin the tune "Head, shoulders, knees and toes!"
Excuse the boogers, but he also says cheese pretty well when we are trying to take pictures!

Boy when he is happy....what a great kid! Here he is sporting a super old jacket that Christian wore when he was a baby! LOVE it!

And I don't think there is anything much happier than 2 brothers in a tub!


Yeah, you wonder where he learned that "CHEESE" from don't ya! :) Happy kids=Happy parents!

Happy Valentines Day

Christian started my day off great by letting me go back to sleep while he took care of the boys. (Kyler had his usual cry at 5:30am and then finally woke up around 6:30am)
When I finally woke up, I tried to make a heart shaped omelet for Christian for breakfast. I hope it tasted better than it looked!

I saw there was a card for me on the table. Inside was a gift card to go get a pedicure. I was so excited. Christian quickly said "They take walk-ins, you should go today!" I responded with, "No, I think I'll save it for when I'm having a stressful day and need a break." His facial expression made it clear that I needed to go today. Not that I was complaining one bit. I loved it! This may sound dumb, but I think that my favorite part is when they are on the massage and rub each and every toe. Feels so good!


Thanks Oma and Grandpa Mealey for the gifts for the boys! They love them! Jaden with his new dinosaur game...

And Kyler with his new quilt! So many great pictures and bright colors!

So after I got back from getting the pedicure, Christian told me that when I had a second, I needed to go look in our Love Story book. Inside was a small note with something sweet written as well as a clue for the next one. He sent me all over the house, up and down the stair a million times, in each of the rooms, in my plants, on the rocking chair in Kyler's room, under the bed. It was so much fun finding and reading all those sweet I Love You's. No wonder he needed me to leave today to get that pedicure. He needed all that time to hide his secret notes! :) I LOVE IT!


After the boys ate their dinner they each got a giant heart shaped cookie!












For dinner we decided to eat in and try something new. So we steamed some lobster!

I think the whole steak and lobster dinner turned out amazing!


And Jaden even tried to take a picture of us! Sorry it's kind of blurry. Thanks for trying Jaden.


I'd say we had a pretty perfect Valentines. Christian sure knows how to show his love for me! I'm so lucky to have shared so many memories with him over the years. Keep the memories coming baby...I LOVE YOU!

Kyler's new noises...

Here Kyler is saying RAAR! Like a monster, dinosaur or lion....I guess....Maybe you can tell better than us. What on earth is he trying to do?

And my newest, most favorite word Kyler says is "ME!" (This video is so sad of Jaden, he has such a bad cough. ) Even though he's not feeling well, he's so eager to help his brother out with his new word!

And today again I asked Kyler "Who is ready to eat?" And he said "ME" as he threw his head back, and then ran quickly to the fridge. Saying "ME" again and again. So cute!

One or the other...

So, either Jaden watches way too much TV, OR Chili's commercials are on way too often. Because yesterday after being in the car for a while and running errands (Costco, the bank, the post office, etc) Jaden says, "Mom, can we stop at Chili's. I'm so hungry." It took me a while to stop laughing and then asked him how he knew that we can eat at Chilies. He stated that he'd seen it from the TV.
Well, there you go folks (and Chilies advertising agency) your plot to pull people in must be working. Because it's gotten the attention of my 3 year old! Welcome to Chili's!
