My BIG kid!

Kyler had his 2 year appointment today, and the doctor just kept telling me how big he was. Over and over he just kept saying "Wow, he's a big kid! He's as big as a 3 year old!" Well, here are his stats:
Head: 51.5 cm ABOVE the 97%
Height: 37 inches in the 97%
Weight: 31.5 lbs in the 85%
So, in case you don't understand the percentile stuff....here is an example: if there were 100 kids that made up the height for all children age 2, shortest to tallest, Kyler would be #97 in line. For weight, lightest to heaviest, he'd be #85 and for head he'd be about 10 feet further away from #100! Future Linebackers watch out! Here comes Kyler!

Kevin and Helga, he LOVES the kids K'NEX and Eric and Nat, he LOVES the remote controlled Jeep! He even got a dollar from the day care for his birthday. We went to the dollar store and he picked out a TRUCK. Guess he likes things that go beep beep! :) Thank you everyone; those that came and those who called to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You all really made his day special!

I can't believe my little baby is 2!

I just love sleeping babies! If you look at the end of the previous post you can see I still like taking pictures of him when he's asleep, even though he's not really a baby anymore!

Here he is on his first day home from the hospital!And 2 years later! WOW! He's changed so much over the last 2 years! He's a couple pics of him!

He's starting to loose that baby weight! Sad! :(

He sure knows how to make us laugh! Soon he'll be off to school. But hopefully not too soon! We sure love you little Kyler! Happy Birthday!

What's going on?

Jaden just finished Itty Bitty Football. He did so much better this year than last! It's so much fun to watch him get excited about playing! Here is the best shot I could get of his group.

They are looking away at Lenny the Lion, apparently more excited about him than looking at me! :)Of course the day I didn't remember my camera he made 10 in a row through the #15 slot! I don't think he cares as much as I do when he makes it. He just really seems to enjoy it all, even if it misses.

I thought it was funny that they scoot back for him when he throws the ball to the staff. (I never saw them scoot back for anyone else) I guess after just about being knocked over after his first throw, I'd scoot back too! They kept commenting on how straight he throws! Way to go Jaden!

He really is a super fast runner! No one was even ready for him. So funny!

He's pretty quick about getting to the kid with the flag, but he gets nervous to hurt them so he doesn't pull very hard. And if he DOES actually get the flag off, he quickly hands it to the kid, as if to say " I know it's yours, I wasn't going to really steal it!" What a kind kid! He seems to be a good sport!

What else has been going on?...Jaden counts EVERYTHING! And it seems that Kyler is picking up on it. He's missing a couple numbers on the video, but we have heard him count 1-12 before without any mistakes. I just love the face he makes at the end too! He's our silly clown! Tomatoes anyone?

The boys LOVE hiding from Christian as soon as they hear the garage door open. The other day they wanted me to find them. Guess they wanted to practice for Daddy later. I loved this spot they found together. So I had them do it again for the video.

Well, there isn't any question we are keeping busy enough around here. I had the boys play separately this afternoon for just a bit. They were getting a little too crazy in the playroom. Jaden went and read in his room, and I thought Kyler did the same in his. I checked on them only about 5 minutes later!

Too cute! Glad I can wear him out, at least for a bit. I took off his sweatshirt and moved him to his bed. He didn't even wake up at all! Night night Kyler baby! More adventures awaiting when you wake up!

Just a Blur...

The last couple of weeks have been just a blurr. Only 2 weeks ago we were told that Christian's grandma had Leukemia and had only 2 weeks to live. So we rushed out that weekend to say we love you, and our final goodbye's. She passed away last Tuesday,(only 1 week after being diagnosed) so we were out there again this last weekend for the funeral.
Sorry the blog has been neglected, but we have been traveling a lot! If you would like to read more about her, Christian put a blog together for her. It's called "An Emma Story". We love you Oma Emma and will miss you greatly!
