Our little boy is growing up!

Kyler has gotten more brave at cruising and loves to just stand anywhere he can! Lately he will even lift up both arms for a few seconds and then place them back on whatever it was he was standing by at the time. (Almost a victory salute saying look at me....I can stand!)

Tonight, he kicked it up another notch! Check it out!

Okay, I know it's more like stumbling and falling than it is like walking, but at least it's a step in the right direction...no pun intended! :) Watch out Jaden, you're brother is catching up quickly! He'll walk to you soon too...at about the same time you'll be wishing he'd just leave you alone.

Bragging rights!

I know I am his mother but can I just say "THAT'S INCREDIBLE!!!" The form, the follow through, the concentration, not to mention the distance! Boy Jaden you just blow us away!

Yes, I think my kids are fantastic! Not just because I am their mother and it's my "job", but they REALLY ARE!

Bear Lake

We spent last weekend with my grandmother at her cabin in Bear Lake. Only wish we could have had more time. I Love relaxing in the sun and letting my hands play in the sand again and again. Jaden seemed to love it all and Kyler loved it a bit too much! It was difficult to keep the mud from going in his mouth. Thanks for letting us relax with you Grammy! (This is what Jaden called her several times that weekend! So cute!)

9 months old!

Kyler is now 9 months old! No more army crawling around here. He can now chase Jaden, crawling around the house on all fours, and climbs on almost anything! We're going to have to keep an eye on this kid!

















Although it's not a very happy looking photo, it did get a good shot of the 2 teeth he's sporting! (can't keep that food coming fast enough... :) ) He has also been enjoying "walking." And getting pretty good at it too.

And he seems to enjoy the copy cat sound game. Mostly he says "da", or "ba", but when I say "ma" he stops and just looks at me and smiles! :)

He even seems like he's already doing things to be like his older brother. He loves his blankies and bites them just the same way Jaden did!

The last 9 months have been anything but easy, but boy have they been full of many adventures and memories.

Kyler's new noises...and other stuff

I just LOVE his new noises and facial expressions! He makes us laugh!

Now, he only says "a ma" when he is sad and wants me to pick him up. But I really think he is trying to say mama! Even though it's only when he is sad right now, it's fun to know what he wants...and that it's ME!

He makes this noise a lot now...not just when he is eating! I think he sounds like a little piggy!

Other Stuff:

Jaden thought that their hair looked funny after we bathed them and dried their hair by pushing it backwards with a towel. He insisted that we take a picture of their silly hair! And although neither boy is looking at me, I LOVE the expressions on each of their faces. Those boys sure love each other so much.


Other happenings: Kyler can now climb all the way to the top of the stairs! And Jaden continues to make us hold our breathe with new acrobatics all the time.













I just love being a mommy! I'm so lucky and blessed to have such amazing boys!

Too much TV! :)

Last night after bath time I thought since Jaden's feet were "scary" AKA pruney, it would be a great time to try and get more slivers out of his feet. But of course he wouldn't stop whining and kicking and pouting and crying...well, at least trying to cry to make me stop. I told him that I needed him to relax and try and hold still. I said, "Why don't you try and sing a song or something." I thought that would help him take his mind off me looking at his feet. He quickly responded with "I can't sing a song." I asked him why not and he replied, "Because I can't sing. Look, it's in my story. Jaden cries!"
Okay, so a little reality check for me. I think he's watching way too much Super Why. The things he comprehends and pieces together...he's way too smart for me anymore.

4th of July!

By the time we were all at the spot, there were 10 little boys and 5 couples! Wish I could have taken a picture of all the boys. Not very likely though when the oldest are 4! But I think everyone had a good time.

Jaden and his buddies did this over and over again. No wonder he has too many slivers to count in his feet! Oops! :)

Here are the chicas!

This seemed to be Kyler's expression for the whole fireworks show. Don't know if he liked or hated it, but he didn't really make a peep. Just stared!
Jaden on the other hand would only watch in the tent for the longest time. He's always been a bit scared of loud noises. Slowly he worked his way out of the tent all on his own!

Even if he did hide behind daddy for many of them, I think Jaden had a great time!

Sick days

Well, it seems that Jaden always starts it in our family! This time it was him with a double ear infection, then I got a sinus infection and Kyler woke up yesterday with a total crusty nose! SICK! Then Christian said this morning that his throat hurt! Let me tell you....if 1 Mealey is sick, it won't be long before they all are! Good way to get it all over with though I guess. I feel like we are generally very healthy. Anyway, I had to get a picture of Jaden looking so sad. He just kept saying "I can't do this mom, I can't do this." It's amazing what you can do with a little Amoxicillin in ya! He and the rest of us are feeling much better now!

Lehi Parade

We decided to ride our bikes to see the parade downtown. For a first parade experience I would say it was a success. All 3 boys loved it!

We thought this dinosaur one was really neat.

Jaden got a lot of candy and couldn't have been happier. Kyler was pooped and we didn't even stay the whole time!
