Happy Birthday Jaden!

Wow, I have a 3 year old! I didn't have time to post anything yesterday on his b-day, so I felt like I better do that today. He sure has loved having his Oma and Grandpa here to play with. Now I don't know if this is silly Jaden or silly mommy, but Jaden kept going back and forth this week about having a witch cake and a robot cake....so I MADE BOTH. Don't laugh too much, the colors didn't come out quite right, but oh well. Jaden thought they were great!

7 months old!

Wow! Kyler is 7 months old! AND he just started moving even more. Not only will he roll all over the room, and spin on his tummy, he now scoots backwards! It's so much fun to see him get more and more mobile by the day. It's also fun to watch Jaden play with and interact with him more. Before long, they will be chasing each other in circles around our house!

So we signed Jaden up for Itty Bitty Baseball without knowing what we were getting ourselves into. After the first day I wasn't so sure this was going to be very fun for Jaden. He kind of just sat back and watched the kids play...like many of you know he does in large groups of kids. But once he knew what to expect each time he sure changed! He seems to really love it! (sorry about the in-and-out of focus. it's just the video camera on the camera....not our video camera...:) are you confused yet? anyway...enjoy)

His team is....THE BOSTON RED SOX. Here are all the teams warming up.

After warm ups and stretching (so cute...side note: Jaden loves jumping jacks and even tries to do the sit ups and push ups. But he always tells me afterwards that "sit ups are tricky.") they go with their teams to different stations and learn more about how to play baseball.

He LOVES this station! It is so much fun to see him get so excited too!

I'm so glad that he has enjoyed this...I'm going to be so sad when it is over at the end of the month. I think that organized things like this are going to be great for him to learn to play and interact with other children his age! Not to mention I love watching him!

it's really done!

Well, I finished it! A lot sooner than I thought I would. But now all there is left to do is mat and frame it! I must admit though I am kind of sad it is done...I miss doing it to wind down and relieve stress. Guess I'll just have to find another one to work on...

What a great Mother's Day

Christian is amazing! I already knew that. But what he did last weekend was just awesome, I had to write it all down. Saturday he cleaned the bathrooms, and the kitchen. He even swept and mopped the kitchen floor! I got the most gorgeous flowers too!

Then on Sunday he made my favorite breakfast, french toast, and even made me lunch! We both decided it would be great to have our leftover enchiladas for dinner! He's so thoughtful, he even made me a mother's day cake with homemade frosting! YUM! I'm so glad to be a mommy!

The big two-nine!

Happy Birthday Christian!! That's right, this is your last year of being in your 20's! Hope it is the best year so far. Hopefully getting that XBOX 360 steering wheel you've wanted, and being able to go to Tucanos without the kiddos started it all off right. (Too bad you didn't save room for any cake. Guess you'll have to eat up on Saturday to make up for it.) Forgive the birthday singing.

Kyler's laugh is so contagious! I love it! And I love it even more when it's Jaden making him laugh all on his own. What a great pair the two are!

My smiley guy!

So Kyler can finally sit alone. Doesn't he look so proud of himself. And you've gotta love this new open mouth smile he does! So happy!

He really is such a great happy kid! He's also learning to make a few new sounds. Not the normal Ba Ba, or Da Da. Maybe more like a motorboat!?... Anyway...we sure love him.

Peter Piper

Something that I have done with Jaden since he was an infant is read to him everyday! He still asks to be read to all the time, and definitely before naptime and bedtime! I love that he looks forward to picking the book and sometimes he'll even let Kyler pick the book. Lately he has enjoyed Mother Goose nursery rhymes. He LOVED Peter Piper and another one called Betty Boughter. He walked around the house the rest of the day trying to say them over and over.

Jaden likes to sing!

Jaden is definitely in a singing phase. He sings the alphabet over and over again all the time now. He got a little camera shy I think, because I have no idea what he is saying at the very end, although I know what he is trying to say! He LOVES to watch himself after we record him doing things too. So it's not very often we don't hear "Can I watch it?" when he finishes whatever he was just doing. He amazes me so much. Sometimes I have to remind myself that he's still just 2!

Jaden LOVES this song. He'll even change the words in it and sing something like..."scary mask, scary mask, does whatever a scary mask does. Or spider juice, spider juice. You get the idea. He makes me laugh so hard. The things he comes up with to say to. What a funny kiddo.

Kyler is now...crawling?...
Don't know if this counts as crawling or not. You'll have to let me know what you think. Either way....he is getting more mobile. It's pretty exciting!
