Where did January go?

We sure seem to find ways of staying busy. This month sure flew by. Christian started working with another mortgage company this month. I am staying busy with coaching gymnastics a couple hours a week, Boy Scouts, AND athletic director in our ward. Still we seem to find time for so many other things.

Jaden really can't wait for the snow to all melt so he can ride his scooter 24/7. But for now he doesn't seem to mind having to bundle up and head to the church parking lot!

Daddy has even found some time in his crazy new schedule to read book to the boys! They sure love that!

This smart cycle seems to hold Jaden over for when he can't go outside! He sure has gotten good at the games. And Kyler likes to ride along side! They sure make me laugh!

"This is a stick up!" Jaden is a great big brother to Kyler. They have begun playing together better.
Jaden also had Itty Bitty Basketball this month. At first I didn't think he was enjoying it, but now he dribbles a ball all the time at home and has even gotten good at shooting with one arm. He says basketball is his favorite. But that seems to change often. Just 2 weeks ago soccer was his fav. Either way, I am so glad he seems to enjoy this time to play sports!

And once a week me and my girlfrinds get together for lunch. We trade houses and just bring something to share. This last week it was at my house! I think I counted 12 women (5 of which are pregnant) and their 19 kids were here playing/ eating! What a great time we have! (we missed you ladies that couln't make it this week!)

Kyler continues to love playing in the laundry basket! His static hair in this photo just makes it even cuter!

Watch out "So you think you can dance!" Kyler's got the moves!

Are you tired yet? So am I! On to February I guess!... :)

Kyler is 15 months old!

Only 3 more months until Kyler goes into nursery at church! (Not that we are counting down or anything! :) )
Today he had his 15 month appointment and seems to be doing great! The only thing that the doctor was still slightly concerned about was his eczema. (mostly behind his knees) But he knows Winter is the worst months for it....so come summer, it should clear up well again. Hopefully he's able to outgrow all that itching more and more each year.

For the grandparents (and all others interested) :) here are his stats:
Height: 32 inches 75th percentile - He's grown almost 2 inches since he turned 1!
Weight: 25.4 lbs 70th percentile- He continues to drop in this category. He's only gained a pound since 1! But I guess when you start above the 90% there isn't much room for going up is there? Don't worry though, no one who has to carry him anywhere is complaining! :)
Head: 49 1/2cm 97th percentile- Yes, he has a Mealey head!
I was nervous he was behind with speaking but the doctor said that 5 words was the average at this age. And as I thought more, he does say more than I thought. Here are some of the words Kyler says...."Mama, Mommy, and Mom". Guess we know what is important to him huh? For milk he says "BaBa", and he definitely says "DaDa." Don't forget the "Uh oh" as he thows stuff off his tray, "No No" while shaking his head, and "That" while poiting to just about anything. Just this week he also says "Moo" when we pass some fields with cows near our house, and "Ball" I think has become his new favorite. Needless to say I think he's doing just fine.
He's amazing at following simple instructions too. Like, "go get your shoes," or "put your blankie in your room," or "let's go take a bath." But almost without fail if we ask a question the answer is "NO." Even if he means yes! :)
While Kyler is a handful, he really is such a blessing in our family. He and Jaden are playing together better and better all the time. I'm so glad to see him smile everyday! (He didn't enjoy that Hot chocolate near as much as his brother obviously did! :) ) When he's happy, he sure is the most fun to be around. But don't let that face fool you, he can throw quite the tantrum if he wants to. I wonder where he gets that part of his personality from? :) We love you bud!
