Good-Bye Camry

I am seriously going to miss this car!  I posted it on KSL and in less than a week it was gone!  It's still kind of strange to me, since this is the car Christian had when we met!  He told me when we got married that it needed to last 2-3 more years.  Well, next week is our 8 year anniversary and it has run great all 8 years!  I hope it runs just as good for the guy that bought it.  I can't believe how clean I got it in just over an hour too!

So...since the Camry is gone....what's our new car?  Guess you'll have to wait and see!

EASTER WEEKEND

Saturday morning was our Neighborhood Easter Egg "hunt."  I LOVE that our neighborhood does this!  Here's our little character boys!

This year instead of having separate parts of the park for the different age groups, they just staggered the start time.  First it was the kids 3 and under.  Kyler stated out showing me each piece before he put it into his basket.

He quickly discovered he could just crouch down, grab, and drop into his basket much quicker if he didn't turn around and show me each time.  Little smarty!

Next it was the 4 and 5 year olds!  Jaden got right to work!

I think they made out alright!  Check out that loot!

At the end of it all, they open them all up, keep the candy, and return the plastic eggs. (Makes it easier to continue putting it on every year!)

I think they are happy with what they got!

Then it was off to Jaden's first Outdoor Spring Soccer Game.

I've been having trouble uploading videos to blogger lately, so pics will have to do.

After the game (and not making any goals) I asked him if he likes Indoor or Outdoor soccer better.  I thought for sure he would say indoor since he scored so much at each game there.  I was surprised he said outdoor....because it's harder. Whatever it is, glad he likes it!
Here is what the boys were going to wake up to Sunday morning.  Nothing too fancy.  1 puppy from the dollar store, 1 chocolate bunny, 1 egg with some candy and a dollar bill, and a HUGE puppy given to us by the preschool I just signed Kyler up for.  Lucky boys! (the big puppy was a late addition.....like from Saturday afternoon)

Here is some of the commentary from the morning:
As Jaden is coming downstairs and noticing eggs "hidden" around the front room "They are like balancing everywhere!  This Easter Bunny is good!  I can see that one!  He didn't even hide them that good!"
Then as they came around the corner and saw their baskets in the TV room,  "PUPPIES!"  Shaking the egg in his basket Jaden says "Did he get us more bouncy balls? What? 3 dollars!  Now I have $3!" (it was a dollar bill and some candy) "Thanks Easter Bunny!"

They took their baskets and searched the house for more eggs.  Kyler said "I want to see what's in and open it!  I want this pink one!  I think we skipped some. Let's go upstairs! One's by the TV where we play games?!"  Jaden says "this must be another dollar!  Followed by "Ok, he's giving us too may of the same thing!" (what's happened to thanks easter bunny! :) The only candy in all the eggs were speckled malt balls.  Guess I better buy more than one bag next year to "switch up the candy."

Kyler dropped his basket on the ground.  Some of the eggs fell out and he was trying to put the candy back in and put it all back in his basket.  One candy wasn't fitting so he said "I guess I'll just eat this!"  Smart boy! :)

After breakfast we decided to color some eggs.  (PS- we don't even boil them anymore.  Hard boiled eggs just don't get eaten in our family.  So, these are raw.  Other than if the kids drop them while coloring them, is there something I should know about why they are supposed to be boiled?...)

They love this simple sticker pack I get with the egg dye.  Silly face eggs are so much fun!  I meant on the eggs, but I love Kyler's silly faces too! :)

Sunday was excellent!  Sacrament meeting was so beautiful.  Several musical numbers and such great talks.  Then after being home for a bit, and naptime for Kyler, we headed up to Grandma Bradshaw's for dinner.  Then after dinner we watched The Testaments and then did our traditional "cake pull."  Kyler was excited eventhough he didn't know what it was!

In a cake pull, each person puts one finger inside an angel food cake.  And on 3, you pull!  Whatever piece you get, is yours.  Top it with vanilla ice-cream, strawberries and whipped cream.  What a silly tradition!  Wish I could make the videos work.  The one of them pulling is so great!

Great Easter Weekend!

ALMOST 6!

Jaden was out of his Multi-vitamin with fluoride.  The doctor wouldn't refill another years worth without having a well check up.  So in we went.  Here are his stats:  he's 47 1/4 inches tall (85%), weighs 48.5 lbs (69%) and his blood pressure was 129/76.  He was so excited about peeing in a cup again like he had to for his Kindergarten check up!  His eye sight was great and his hearing as well.  And after all was said and done, we got a refill on his prescription.
Later that night he had his first Outdoor Soccer practice.  Christian told him that he didn't need to wear his jersey to practice, but he was too excited not to!  He is so proud of his jersey and cleats.  Looking forward to his first game this Saturday!

Family in town is always FUN!

Christian's mom and dad came into town last weekend! They were able to see Jaden play in his last soccer game.  Eric and Maddix came to watch too!  After the game they went over to play basketball at the church by Eric's house.  Those cousins sure love playing together.

After naptime we headed over to hang out at Eric and Nat's.  They made enchiladas, rice and salad for dinner.  My boys loved them and said they wished we could have them every night!  Thanks Nat for a great meal!
Sunday, Kyler got to give a talk in primary sharing time.  He talked about remembering to pray and how to be reverent during a prayer.  I thought he did a great job!  Sunbeams are so cute!  We had dinner at our house and tried a new Falafel recipe!  New favorite for sure!  I'll have to post it to my food blog sooner than later!
I LOVE this picture of the cousins with Eric, Christian and Grandpa!

The boys spent Monday morning at Cabella's.  They love walking around that place and of course shooting the guns upstairs as well.  Anytime spent with Oma and Grandpa is better than just hanging out with mom.  Wish they could hang out more often.
That night there was an MBA FHE activity at the Legacy Indoor Pool.  My boys could have stayed there all night.  They LOVE the water!

Emery just couldn't keep her eyes open for a picture.  Still cute anyways!

My little character Kyler.

He and Jaden are SO different!

Uncle Eric was so nice to take the boys down the BIG slide once.  Kyler in arms...

...then catching Jaden at the bottom.

Mostly though, it was this tower slide about 100 times!  (Kyler totally had bruised elbows the next day to prove how many times they went down!)

And who can swim at the Legacy Center without sitting and waiting to get splashed on by the HUGE bucket of water that tips over every 5 minutes or so.

Great weekend!  Long week of Spring Break for Jaden and last week of school for Christian this week.  Life is such an adventure!

My BIG day!

Today marks my favorite day in all of pregnancy! (Ok, besides the baby's birth day)  Today I am 35 weeks!  I have 35 days to go!  AND this time around so far I have gained 35 lbs!  The countdown continues!  35 doesn't seem too bad!

FRIENDS!

Kyler does pretty good playing on his own while Jaden is at school in the morning.  But it's always nice when we find a friend who can play!  Mac even brought him some bubbles!  They had fun doing that for a bit but mostly played upstairs.  I sure love that toy room!

They should work on collaborating their blows.  Mac couldn't seem to blow his without the super power and sound effects, and Kyler barely blew it hard enough to get a couple of bubbles going.  They seemed to enjoy doing it their own way.

And what are we going to do without neighbors with boys like Cohen, Joey, & Jason?  These boys are too fun!  They all wanted to build guns and ran all over the house for quite a while playing Star Wars among other games.

I told them I wanted to see their guns!

In this one I said "make a mean face!"

And this one I said "Shoot me!"

I'm glad they let little Kyler tag along with them.  What a good bunch of boys!
