Hogle Zoo

All of the animals seemed so active! It was a great day to go to the zoo! The cheetah made me laugh so hard. I swear it wanted to eat our kids for lunch. Jaden sure loved watching him go back and forth. Emma kept laughing at Jaden jumping back! I asked which animal Jaden liked the best and he kept saying that the giraffe was "so tall." When we got home he told Christian about the elephants, penguins and the dinosaur! (Did you know that Hogle Zoo has a dinosaur?) :) He saw the rhinoceros and thought it was a dinosaur and kept asking me where it's tail was! So funny.

What a fun group of girls to be with. The weather was awesome, but the company was even better. I love my girlfriends! Here are more pics of some of the animals we saw while we were there!

So different, yet so similar!

It's fun for me to look back at pictures of Jaden at the same age Kyler is now. Today I found these ones. My boys continue to look so different to me, yet seem to be on the same track of doing the same things at the same age. Can't wait for what's to come!

Kyler found his toes

Kyler found his toes yesterday and can't seem to get enough of them! He seems to think they are the coolest thing since...well, mom's milk I guess.

4 months old!

Wow! Kyler just had his 4 month appointment! He's continuing to grow like crazy. He now weighs 16 lbs 10 oz (already double his birth weight) and is 26 1/2 inches! Along with those measurements and his head circumference he is still above the 90% for all 3!
We also just tried rice cereal last night for the first time! He seemed to like it and I can't wait to do it again. Also, last night he slept his best night ever! (from 9pm-6:30am) I hope this is a new trend. Guess we'll see what happens tonight.

This is a typical look for Jaden when he wakes up from a nap each day! Pretty awesome bed head huh!? He's also growing like crazy and seems to be liking more foods a little at a time. But you can always make him smile with apples, grapes or cookies!

You think I did...what?

I thought that these pictures were hilarious of Kyler. Jaden was pretty much just laying there saying "cheese" like he does whenever the camera is on him. Kyler is such a character. It was funny to me that after the 1st picture was taken (Kyler totally hitting Jaden in the face) Jaden very seriously just said, "Kyler, don't hit me!" Then, the 2nd picture Kyler was contemplating what he had just done, and finally decided that he would play the "What?...that wasn't me" card! My boys sure make me laugh!

Jaden started it...

Jaden started it all! Last week Jaden got croup and began a crazy cycle of us all being sick. Christian missed a ton of work last week, then I got a sinus infection, and finally Kyler started coughing on Friday. We spent a lot of time at InstaCare on Saturday only to come home with more frustrations of being told that there wasn't much to do but wait out our colds. They did however say to bring Kyler back if he got a temperature.
Kyler kept us up most of the night, crying and coughing, seeming to only get sleep in 20 min increments. And since he wasn't wanting to eat at all, and we couldn't seem to get his temp below 100 (even with Tylenol and a cool bath) we decided to spend another day at InstaCare. Fun fun fun!
I think that place was more busy than some wards on Sunday! But after waiting about 3 hours we finally had answers. Kyler had RSV. We had to take him to the hospital for some deep suctioning. This has helped tonz. But we really have to stay on it at home too. He seems more congested in the mornings, so we took him again yesterday and also thismorning to get "cleaned out!" He seems to be doing alot better. This picture is from Sunday when we FINALLY got home after 5 long hours! He was so exhausted. We all seem to be feeling a lot better today. So hopefully all of this crazy sickness is just about over.

NO WAY!!!

Kyler rolled over for his first times 2 weeks ago! But today we finally got it on film! Way to go Kyler! You'll be able to run around and throw a ball with Jaden sooner than we can believe.

Snow EVERYWHERE!

Well, it's nice to see that we are not the only ones dealing with this cold snowy weather. Even Hawaii got it's share this week! This picture is of Haleakala on Maui. So if you were looking to get away from the snow, and go to Maui, you better put those plans off for a while longer! :) (Thanks for the photo dad)
