Much like March, this will be a very long post! My computer decided to have a bad day/ month! Luckily we have a great friend who new know to fix it. But it was out of commission for the month. Needless to say I am very behind! Mostly, we have very much enjoyed the warmer spring weather and can't believe what a warm winter we are leaving behind.
Beckam has loved playing outside on the driveway with his brothers.
He's getting so good at walking with his toy!
One of Kyler's favorite things to do is play on the playground for 5 minutes as we wait for Jaden to get out of school.
His new trick is to hang upside down. Thank you Jaden for showing him how to do this!
Beckam is so curious and finally starting to make more noises.
I love how many different faces and expressions he has!
The MBA group had a field day activity for the whole family. The kids did a tug-o-war!
Then the MBA's too. It was 1st years against 2nd years.
2nd years decided it would be fun to just let the rope go. Somehow that meant Daddy landed on his butt! OUCH!
The wives got a go at it as well. 2nd years won! We are a scary competitive bunch!
The kids all lined up by age.
Kyler's on the outside right. Long sleeve under his short sleeve.
I love how he's watching the group instead of looking at the goal ahead!
Now he's getting into it!
It's gonna be close!
Go for the tie! That way no one feels bad right?
Jaden is in the middle. Light blue long sleeve undershirt.
And they're off. He's checking out his competition too!
Getting focused....
pulling ahead. Look at that form!
Yeah Jaden! You sure are fast!
Piggy back run are you kidding? I thought for sure there would be split open chins and all sorts of messes and stitches after this race.
Daddy and Kyler decided to go for safe and fun in the back :)
Then it was the MBA students turn to race.
Christian in the blue hat! Go daddy go!
A very fast group!
Cosmo even came to have a bit of fun with the kids!
What a group! It's been such a great couple of years with all these kids!
And back to outside! Ladder ball on the porch. Does life get any better?
I feel so lucky to have such great neighbors! Their kids and my boys are constantly playing together!
Beckam enjoys a lot of it from the swing!
I love his smile, even if he is being a bit mischievous.
Fun new Easter Tradition! (Thanks Oma for the idea. It was a super hit!)
They boys got a small bag of magic jelly beans. (Maybe it helped that they had just seen PussNBoots.) These magic beans can only be planted the night before Easter.
As you plant them you say their colors!
Yes, those are magic beans!
And guess what grows there over night?....
Another fun idea we got in trying not to just give a basket of candy (they get enough of that elsewhere) was to put a puzzle piece or 2 inside each egg, then hide them all over. They thought that was fun, but wondered where all the candy was :( At least they got a chocolate bunny! :)
(This post really is so random! But I do have a lot of catching up to do.) Just a random picture of Jaden on a Sunday morning and something he'd built.
The Pass of ALL Passes was on sale for only $10 for a very limited time, so we go them! Here's Kyler jamming out at Trafalga!
And don't they look excited to start a round of mini golf?
That's slightly better. :)
Jaden got a hole in 1 on this one!
And then Kyler did here!
Then Kyler did again!
And then Jaden another one too! No joke!
Beckam was a good sport though it all!
Look at how excited Beckam was to fly! He's drooling!
Welcome to Houston!
Christian and I, and Beckam, headed to Houston for 4 days. Christian attended a Symposium held at Rice and we thought this would be a great weekend for me to come down as well and scope it all out. Areas, wards, etc.
Bob and Kathy Hoskison were kind enough to offer for us to stay in their home while we were there. (Christian will be working with Bob at Rice as he starts there this Fall.) Beckam pulled a chair onto himself within minutes of being there. It was quite the shiner!
But at least he was still a happy guy!
He LOVED their stairs there. He'd only go up 2 or 3, which was great, and then loved just sitting there and looking through.
He even finally warmed up to Bob.
It was a LONG 4 days, but beyond helpful as far as the insight we gained! We feel so blessed to have this experience ahead of us and are getting more and more excited as the time is quickly approaching.
WOW! We keep busy. Other happening in April, that will need their own posts, are Spring soccer for both older boys as well as Christian's graduation! And somehow we are already half way though May! Yeah, we will be moving before we know it...
