Beckam- 6 months old

There's my little sitter!  He's become quite a pro at sitting on his own.  He's still very content with staying in one place.  I can set him down like this with a bucket of toys and he'll sit there and empty the bucket, picking the toys out one at a time, each getting a little taste test! :)

Kyler LOVES to play with Beckam and has really become his best buddy.  He sure can make him giggle!
At his 6 month appointment the Dr. couldn't believe how happy he was and how much he was smiling, "talking" and laughing.  He continues to be a very happy baby!  He also seems to be growing right in line on his chart.  He weighed 15lb 3 oz (12%) was 26 3/4 inches long (63%) and his head was 44.5cm (72%)  Looks like he's going to be tall and skinny like Jaden...at least that's what we think right now. :)
Christian has been very busy this semester, but took some time teaching Beckam how to throw and catch a ball.  It's never too young to learn, right?  Beckam was making the most silly faces, we had to catch it on film.

Since he's gotten better at sitting I decided to have him sit during his bath instead of laying down on his back.  He loved splashing and the new view that came with sitting up in the water. His toes were so fascinating to him.
He still doesn't roll all over the room like his brothers did as soon as they learned to roll over.  He spends a lot of time on his tummy, spinning in a circle.  If it's within arms reach he can grab it.  Mostly he kicks and kicks in this position and then once in a while pushes up on his hands, but doesn't scoot forward or backwards.  Still, content as can be, and his back sure is getting strong from all these "exercises."
AND he just started babbling. Last night he surprised us with some da da da!
I really can't believe he is already 6 months old!  I guess 3 boys keeps me busy enough to pass the time!

3 Boys ROCKS!!!

My 3 boys are growing up!  They each have such different personalities it's so much fun to see them mature.  So that I can remember, here is a bit about each one, and their uniqueness!
Jaden (6) loves top 40's music.  Once in a while I will even catch him singing along or to himself.  Hip Hop seems to be his favorite.  I think he has such a cute voice.  He's getting better at reading too and loves to follow along in the Hymn Book at church and sing!
Jaden has a "shy/ embarrassed" side to his competitive and outgoing personality.  It seems that until he does something well, he's nervous and lacks confidence.  He's such a great big brother and such a helper. He's always trying to figure out stuff to do for me to get some money. (Although it doesn't happen very often, he loves it when he gets a quarter for cleaning up, etc.)  He loves that sense of accomplishment.  I think he will grow up to be a very hard working young man.  You know with Jaden that he will do his best with most anything.  He continues to LOVE most any sport as well as any chance he has to play the Wii.

Kyler (4) is crazy, is a common thing I say.  Whether, he's doing something silly to make Beckam laugh, or trying his latest feat (you had no idea he knew how to do) he blows your mind.  His very strong body goes with his very strong personality/ temperament. One second he will be your best friend, then the next say something silly like "I'm not your brother, duh!"  But usually pretty quickly he's wanting to wrestle, hug and smile all over again.  He keeps me busy!
Kyler seems to be attracted to classical music.  He gets the cutest little grin when I have it on in the car.  He'll even tell me, "that sounds like a violin."  He's also very into drawing and creating things.  (Lately most of his work he says is the Mt. Timpanogos Temple, and yesterday that's what he told me it was. Then when he showed Christian and he thought it was a house, Kyler corrected him by saying that it was the "mountain of the Lord."  He is so creative, expressive, and a great friend.
Beckam (not quite 6 mo) is still pretty content.  He's a happy happy little guy.  I swear he hums along with me as I rock him and sing to him before he falls asleep.  It's one of my favorite things to hear.  He is so patient and easy going.  I don't feel stressed about taking him EVERYWHERE with me because he is so great.  Let's hope it continues!  He loves it when Jaden and Kyler play with him.  He likes to be included, or at least in the same room as whatever is going on.  He's getting more mobile and stronger all the time.  He can roll over, sit alone, and even presses up on his hands. He can spin in a circle on his tummy too.  He still LOVES to be swaddled when he sleeps.  He's such a joy to have around.
GOSH!  I really love my 3 boys!

Halloween Fun

Thursday October 27th the MBA program had a Halloween Potluck dinner.  Here are my 3 cute boys!
Beckam made a great Tigger!
After dinner the kids went around to the different rooms.  This one was set up as a "spook alley."  First they had to slide down through the "spider web."
Then they were told to touch the "eye balls" in one box and "worms" in another.  Although apprehensive, they both finally did it.
This room was pin the eyes on the jack-o-lantern.  You can tell Jaden was really closing his eyes, because his didn't even make it on the pumpkin.
Yeah, I don't think Kyler was closing his eyes very tight! :)
The sack race was Jaden's favorite.  He wanted to do this one several times!
(Jaden was so confused by this guys costume. He didn't understand how he could have his legs up to ride the horse and still walk...)
And what's a party without a ring toss!?  Mostly I think the kids liked getting candy after doing each activity.  Doesn't matter what the game is.  If there is candy, then it's fun! :)

Friday the 28th was our neighborhood Trunk-or-Treat.  Batman, Spiderman and Tigger look great and ready for candy.
Instead of carving pumpkins this year, since my boys HATE getting the guts out, we decided to paint them.  Jaden wanted to continue with the Angry Birds theme this month.

They turned out great!
Here's Jaden with his 1st grade teacher Mrs. P. on Halloween right before the parade.
And here's me and Beckam watching the Halloween Parade.
For Halloween dinner we had chili in a pumpkin and this skeleton veggie tray.  Fun idea our ward had.
Jaden made the skeleton and haunted house picture at school.
It's been a fun-filled week of Halloween and Parties!  3 kids sure keeps me busy!

Kyler's Birthday Party

Since Kyler changed his mind to an ANGRY BIRDS party, the pinata was much easier to do.  He decided he wanted the white one. (I love how his make up from the night before's Trunk Or Treat isn't quite washed off yet.  Nice.)
He was so excited about the balloon decorations too.
Here is a game we set up again and again for the kids to try and knock down.  Christian was great at setting this up so many times and in so many different ways.  The kids loved it.
There's the birthday boy and a handful of the balloons.  He was trying to pick them all up!
The kids all enjoyed pizza and a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie.  I love how his cousin Maddix is blowing with him! :)
What a group!  Ten 3-4 year olds was a lot more work than I thought it would be.  I'm so glad Eric, Christian's brother, stayed too.  He was helpful with Beckam as well as the other kids.

The pinata turned out great!  6 layers of paper mache made is perfect for this group.  The first round they were all blind-folded. (I wanted to make sure everyone got at least 1 turn.)  But that was a bit too hard.
Some hit it harder than others.  They all seemed to really enjoy it though.
I thought for sure Jaden would bust it open.
Jason got going too quickly after Jaden, so I wasn't able to get a video of it busting. Needless to say, it was a HIT!
The kids got their bags (they had decorated) and watched THE FURIOUS FIVE while they ate their candy.
Christian played out on the trampoline with the kids while they waited to be picked up by their parents.
We also had each of them pick a pumpkin to take home. (Since we got 16 from our garden this year!)  Although a bit chaotic, I think they all had fun.  I still can't believe Kyler is 4!
