California Christmas Eve

After enjoying our own Christmas at home on the 22nd, we headed to the airport the morning of the 23rd to have more Christmas fun in Sacramento with Christian's family. Kyler and Maddix were so cute watching the airplanes at the airport.

Traveling with kids makes for a long feeling day! We settled in and enjoyed some relaxing time the rest of the evening.
The next day (December 24th- another Christmas EVE!) was practically the only sunny day of the rest of our vacation. But it was still freezing! We decided to make the most of it and head to the park to play and get some fresh air. Jaden loves the monkey bars, but they were a bit cold. So he didn't do those for very long.

Slides are always a hit.

And tag on the playground is a for sure favorite! Dad was having a hard time keeping up. The boys are just so fast!
We had Christmas Eve at Opa's house. Homemade toffee and caramels were our gifts to everyone this year!
Santa even showed up to give the 4 youngsters early Christmas gifts!

They each got pajamas and a puzzle. Santa couldn't stay long, because he had lots of other kids to go and see. I think the kids all loved seeing him there. Here are Jaden's pj's.

You can see how much Kyler wanted to show his off! Thanks dad for helping us get a picture of him in his pj's.
We ended the night with more family hang out, games and of course trifle. Yum! Berry, or chocolate? Better have a little of each. And in the morning it's Christmas...again!

Where did you get the recipes for the trifle? I have been wanting to make one. They are very big out here actually...I could just buy one at the grocery store, but I would rather make it.

It's too bad Sacramento was cold...you would think it would be warmer there.
