Halloween Fun

We did a LOT this year for Halloween! Wednesday night we went to a Free Halloween train ridein Lindon. It felt like being at Disneyland with the lines of winding ropes, but the kids seemed to be enjoying it all. (Kyler has a hard time keeping his eyes open when there is a flash! :)

Throughout the "wait in line" there were different spooky things to see/ do. Right before going on the train, you sat in the garage and watched clips of Halloween movies- Icabod Crane, The Nightmare before Christmas, a Goofy Halloween, etc.)

Then we lined up by a number for our train seat. It was all organized so well. Very impressed!

The train ride goes through 6 very spooked out, decorated yards, including several tunnels. It was like going through a spook alley, without the walking. We stopped for a second right by this guy and Kyler was freaking out! He really didn't like just sitting there. He kept asking "what is he going to do?" I had him sitting in front of me, and he would squeeze my hands so hard every time we went through a tunnel too. Maybe he'll like it more next year! Jaden seemed to like it!

Near the end of the ride there was even a headless horseman on a real horse carrying his pumpkin head. It's only about a 5 minute ride, but super cool!

Then Thursday morning we had our playgroup Halloween party. Kyler dressed up as Darth Vadar. What a cute little Vadar huh?

We decorated sugar cookies. This is always a hit!

And duck, duck, goose never seems to get old either!

That night we went down to BYU for the MBA Halloween Family potluck dinner. There were about 600 there, students, spouses, and kids. They had cute carnival activities for the kids to do as well. The kids were loving all this Halloween fun!

And on Friday we went to Jaden's Halloween parade at school. He was also Darth Vadar. (He's 2 kids in front of Mario.)

He sure looks excited to be there! :)

That night we had our wards Halloween dinner party. Jaden decided he wanted to be a storm trooper this time.

And Kyler was again Darth Vadar. This time sword and all!

For dinner we had spaghetti and meatballs, salad and garlic bread. It was great to see so many in the ward all dressed up. What a silly holiday!

Then Saturday was the big day! (As if the others hadn't been that big.) It began pouring rain around dinner time, but the kids of course still wanted to head out for trick-or-treating. This time both boys changed their minds. Kyler wanted to be Spiderman, and Jaden wanted to be a Ninja. Guess when you are doing so many different Halloween activities, you can change it up!

I'm so glad Christian was willing to go out in the cold rain with them! They really seemed to have a great time! Happy Halloween!
